Adding something to your wishlist
The fastest way is the share sheet:
- In the App Store, open the app you want to track and tap Share.
- Choose DropRoost from the share sheet. The app is added to your wishlist.
- If the app has paid in-app purchases or a subscription, pick which one you want to watch — the Pro unlock, a lifetime tier, or an annual plan.
You can also add items from inside DropRoost by searching the App Store directly.
Setting a price alert
Open any item on your wishlist and choose a rule:
- Any drop — notify me whenever the price goes down.
- Target price — notify me when it falls below an amount you set.
- Percentage off — notify me at 20%, 30%, 50% off, and so on.
- Back on sale — notify me the next time it’s discounted at all.
Target-price, percentage, and back-on-sale rules are part of the one-time Unlock. Make sure notifications are allowed for DropRoost in iOS Settings, or alerts can’t reach you.
Why in-app purchase tracking is a separate feature
Tracking in-app purchase and subscription prices means a server checks those prices around the clock, every day of the year. That ongoing cost is why IAP Tracking is a small annual subscription ($4.99/year) rather than a one-time purchase. Tracking the app’s own download price is free and needs no subscription.
My alert didn’t arrive
Check these in order:
- Open iOS Settings → Notifications → DropRoost and make sure notifications are allowed.
- Confirm the item still has an active alert rule and isn’t muted.
- Prices are checked on a schedule, not the exact second they change — a drop may take a little while to be picked up and pushed to you.
- If you changed regions, make sure the item’s storefront matches the store you actually buy from.
Comparing prices across regions
The same app or subscription can cost noticeably less in another country’s App Store. With IAP Tracking, DropRoost can compare an item’s price across storefronts so you can see where it’s cheapest. Note that buying from another storefront generally requires an Apple ID set to that region — DropRoost shows you the prices; the purchase still happens through Apple.
Restoring a purchase
If you bought the Unlock or IAP Tracking and moved to a new device (or reinstalled), open Settings in DropRoost and tap Restore Purchases. As long as you’re signed in with the same Apple ID, your unlock comes back. The Unlock is family-shareable.
Bringing a list from another app
DropRoost can import a wishlist exported from WSH LST. Export your list there, then use Import in DropRoost’s settings to bring it in.
Deleting your data
Removing an item stops tracking it. To erase everything our server holds for your device, use Delete my data in Settings, or simply delete the app. This removes your device, your notification token, and all your watches from our server. See the privacy policy for exactly what we store.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com within 90 days of purchase, sign in with the Apple ID you bought with, and request a refund. Apple typically responds within 24–48 hours.
Which devices are supported?
DropRoost runs natively on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and works on Apple Vision Pro. Your wishlist syncs across all of them through your private iCloud account.
